Hi! I’m Kristin. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate. Yes, I’m dually licensed and I work really hard. When we put our heads together, I think we can get you closer to the life you want.

Where I’ve been

I am married with two daughters and a very outgoing dog! Prior to having kids, I worked in the tech field in a variety of sales and marketing positions. My experience in the corporate world has helped me understand the struggles and stresses that a high intensity work environment can have on individuals and their families.

After many years as a stay-at-home mom, I was ready to re-enter the workforce. Between a master gardening class or going to grad school for counseling, I chose the latter. Forming healthy relationships with others has been such an integral part of my own journey to live a full and authentic life. This spurred on a career change from business to psychology.

I got my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, with a research emphasis on the factors that make for an authentic life. I am an Oregon native but moved to Seattle to go to the University of Washington, where I got my B.A. in Business Administration. Prior to joining People Bloom, I worked at a low-fee clinic and community mental health agencies addressing issues such as relationship struggles, depression, anxiety and life transitions. In my clinical practice, I seek regular consultation from my colleagues and my supervisor, Ada Pang.

When I’m not working

Outside of work, I like to read, exercise, walk my dog, and hang out with my family. I believe it’s really important to take care of myself. When my needs and wants are met, there’s more of me to go around. And, I’m just happier and more grounded as a person and I’d want that for you too!
