Manage your Midlife Crisis
Hi, I’m Kristin. As you go through mid-age, it’s easy to focus your life on other people’s needs--whether it is for your kids, your partner, your aging parents or your friends. It feels good to be helpful and available to others. The problem comes in however, when focusing on other people’s needs comes at the expense of taking care of yourself.
Is this you?
I wonder if you might have reached the second half of your life where you are treating the needs of others as your own and dismissing the things that really mattered to you? After all, do you find yourself saying yes to people when you really wanted to say no?
If you feel conflicted and anxious about what you’re feeling on the inside and what you are expressing on the outside, you’re not alone. A lot people go through this turmoil and have avoided difficult situations and conversations. They find their lives getting smaller and smaller. They ask themselves, If I’m trying to do the right thing, why does it feel so bad?
Let’s help you find you
If you’ve lost touch with who you are as a person and what you want out of life, I want to help! At one point, I also sought the support of a trusting counselor to help bring awareness to beliefs and patterns of behavior that no longer served me well. I know I can help you make sense of your feelings and learn to trust and believe in yourself again.
Well, it’s not really a crisis
Okay, maybe crisis is too strong of a word. How about midlife transitions? As someone who is going through similar changes and have a plan for rising above it, we can use our session time to address any of the following:
Work stress
Second careers
Family problems
Parents’ health
Deaths and losses
Launching teens
Menopause and your changing body
Or whatever is relevant for you.
What it’s like to work with me
I’m fun, I’m energetic and I laugh a lot. You’ll also find me attentive to your story and I wear a lot of expression on my face. I often ask whether something I said made sense to you because I want to make sure I’m being clear. Ultimately, I want what’s best for you as you enter this second half of your life.
Daytime appointments available
When there usually isn’t much time for you, we’re going to make time for you! If you’re generally busy at work, let’s get you in before you head into work. If you need to get the kids to school, run errands and then come in, I have mornings and early afternoons available too.
Here are my hours:
Mondays - 7:30am to 2pm
Tuesdays - 7:30am to 2pm
Thursdays - 7:30am to 2pm
Ready to rediscover you?
