Our latest update as of 4/3/2023:
Effective 4/3/23, WA State Department of Health (DOH) will lift the mask mandate in healthcare settings. However, King County/Seattle Health still recommends masks. The Seattle Public Health Director, Dr. Jeff Duchin (3/3/2023), continues to “recommend masks for patients, healthcare providers and visitors in healthcare settings”.
In light of this, you and/or your clinician may prefer to remain masked and are encouraged to have a conversation about mask wearing. Ultimately, if you prefer for sessions to be masked, BOTH you and your clinician will be masked.
Here are the clinicians providing in-person counseling at our Redmond office -
Ketaki Tongaonkar is our clinician for people straddling multiple cultures and identities. She also loves helping people struggling with mood disorders, depression and anxiety and trauma.
Rachel Keo is our therapist for school staff, college students and young adults going through life transitions. In addition to stress related to school, work, and relationships, she also has experience working with issues around cultural identity and discrimination.
Bob Russell is our clinician for teens and young professionals. He loves working with people struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD and/or neurodiversity. He’s quirky in his own way!
Where we’re heading
We hope you’re doing as well as can be given where we’ve all been.
The pandemic has drastically changed how we practice therapy and what we knew to be possible. We’re grateful to have the technology to continue to meet with our clients, even though we know it’s not the same as being in the office together.
Moving forward, depending on clinician and client preferences, we’ll stay a hybrid in-person and online practice. While all of our clinicians are fully vaccinated, we’re staying mostly online for the time being, because -
Some of you would prefer to walk 20 steps to our sessions, rather than commute to our Redmond office;
Some of us like staying in our Zoom pants and WFH;
Our routines have drastically changed and WFH allows us to attend to our families, which includes one new puppy!
As with all things pandemic, we’ll continue to stay abreast with CDC recommendations and make adjustments as needed. After all, flying by the seat of our pants has become strangely familiar.
We look forward to our work with you!
Best,
Ada Pang, owner of People Bloom
