Therapy for Queer, Trans, and BIPOC Communities

*I’m accepting clients for in-person and telehealth appointments.

Hi, I’m Bee (they/them). I know what it’s like to feel unseen. As someone who holds queer and BIPOC identities, I’ve experienced the isolation, the microinvalidations, and the hidden grief that comes with minority stress. But, I believe that liberation is possible — through healing, collective care, and reclaiming the parts of yourself you were taught to hide.

I’m honored to hold space for folks navigating the intersections of identity, transition, and belonging. Whether you’re exploring your gender, preparing for or undergoing a medical transition, or simply trying to stay centered in who you are, I’m here for all of that.

What I offer

  • Support for trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive clients — from exploring identity to navigating steps in their transitioning

  • Holistic well-being during transitioning: boundary work, self-care strategies, working through internalized stigma

  • Therapy for the many layers of queer and BIPOC life — racism, cultural expectations, family conflict, microaggressions, code-switching, and more

My Approach

My guiding values are gentleness, presence, and helping you make meaning of your experiences. I recognize the lineage of trauma in BIPOC communities and how gender oppression compounds it. In our work together, judgment has no place. My job is to create a space where you can show up as you are — sometimes fragile, sometimes angry, sometimes evolving — and be met with compassion and understanding.

I draw on trauma-informed approaches, intersectional frameworks, and Indigenous healing practices that honor ancestral wisdom. I also have training in substance use and recovery, so if that’s part of your story, it’s welcome here. I don’t leave clients to figure things out alone — I’ll offer relevant resources, referrals, and tools so you feel supported along the way.

Counseling for People Straddling Multiple Cultures and Identities

*I’m accepting clients for in-person and telehealth appointments.

Hi, I’m Ketaki (she/her). As someone who grew up in India and came to the US for grad school and work, I understand what it’s like to straddle multiple cultures and identities. On the one hand, I feel supported amongst my Indian community, and I’m encouraged to ask for help. As a daughter, a wife, a sister, a friend, I’m familiar with the gender and cultural expectations associated with these roles. On the other hand, I’m growing and learning to be my own person in my exposure to other cultures in the US. I’m invited to explore, to discover, to try on and be okay if something doesn’t feel fitting.

It can be a challenge balancing my collectivistic cultural identity with other cultures and experiences I find myself in. After all, I know what it’s like to want to be seen for all of my experiences, without the need to discard an important part of who I am at the door.

If you’re someone who identifies with multiple cultures and identities, I can relate! It can be a struggle navigating the traditional cultural and gender norms, and expectations, while sitting with feelings of (un)belongingness and otherness as an immigrant. Many of my first generation clients also face uncertainty related to visa processes. The fear of layoffs, or the threat of an unstable relationship carry much more weight as a visa holder beholden to changing immigration laws and the political climate.

I aim to create a space where you can be truly, authentically yourself with all of your quirks, struggles, strengths and identities that make you, you. I want to help you forge a path that better integrates who you are, in light of the cultural, social, political, and familial factors that play a role in your life and influence your choices.
