Why we blog

We write because we believe change can happen through reading, reflection, and learning. Helpful information and thoughtful practice can support growth and healing. We also write because many of the clients who come into our office believe they are the only one struggling with a particular problem. They feel alone. We hope this space helps challenge that feeling and reminds people that being human is hard, and none of us has it all together.

When we address “you” in our writing, we mean it broadly. These posts are for all of us. You do not have to go through life alone.

We may have the opportunity to work together, or we may not. Either way, we want your life to be better than it is right now. We want you to flourish and live a life that counts. If something you read here helps, even in a small way, we’re glad. And for the clients we do get to work with, we love occasionally pointing them to a post that can help support or jumpstart the work we do together.

The content on this blog is for general informational purposes only and reflects the perspectives of the individual author. It is not therapy, diagnosis, or individualized mental health care.

Ada Pang is the proud owner of People Bloom Counseling, a Redmond psychotherapy practice in WA. She mostly helps distressed couples and breast cancer patients. And since she does write about trauma, depression and anxiety, she sees clients with those struggles as well. When she's not working or thinking about work, she's eating or thinking about food.
