Therapy for LGBTQ+, East Asian, SE Asian & BIPOC Folks

Hi, I’m Vickie. As a queer identified 1.5 generation Chinese immigrant, I straddle two very different national cultures and many intersections of identity. I believe strongly that everyone defines their own embodiment of queerness and my goal is to support folks as they discover what LGBTQIA+ means for them, beyond mainstream white-centric discourses.

My hometown is Nanjing, where I spent my early years. I have lived most of my life on Coast Salish lands in Canada, and now call Seattle home. Each physical relocation requires shifts in cultural understandings and adaptations, and no two immigrant journeys are the same. My work with East Asian and SE Asian and BIPOC clients explores their individual experiences in the context of their cultural backgrounds, personal histories, and family traditions.

If you are someone with these intersecting identities, I can relate to the feeling of being uprooted and adrift. I can help you move away from unhelpful adaptations and build confidence and joy on new land, all the while honoring your past and traditions.
