Hi! I’m Bee (they/them), and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate. I come from Coahuiltecan lineage, with ancestors from South Texas and Northern Mexico. I’ve moved often and seen much in my life. Just as I’m shaped by where I’ve been, I see people as a collection of their experiences — stories that deserve to be told, witnessed, and honored.

That’s where I come in.

I want to meet you wherever you are in your life’s journey. Together, we can make meaning of your circumstances and unpack the layers of oppression you may have internalized along the way. I understand the adaptive strategies people develop to survive the hard parts of life. I also draw from Indigenous healing practices that honor ancestral wisdom and heritage.

Clinical training and passions

I earned my B.A. in Indigenous Studies and Psychology from The Evergreen State College, and my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University, where I also completed a Certification in Trauma Counseling.

My background includes crisis counseling, de-escalation, and case management in community settings. I have specialized training in Substance Use Disorders and experience facilitating harm reduction recovery groups. I regularly seek consultation from colleagues, as well as my licensed supervisor, Ada Pang

I enjoy working with queer, BIPOC, and neurodivergent teens and young adults, as well as those navigating the role of drugs or alcohol in their lives. I’m drawn to the complexity of people whose experiences don’t fit the mold of heteronorms, neurotypical expectations, or linear life paths.

If that means we both have to work hard, I’m excited for the work!

What’s it like to work with me

My approach is gentle, compassionate, and grounded in understanding. I recognize the lineage of trauma and deep generational pain that many people carry, so judgment has no place in our work together. My goal is to create a space where you can show up fully as yourself and feel safe doing so. I’ll also connect you with resources and supports along the way — because healing shouldn’t feel like something you have to do alone.

Outside of Work

For my own healing and self-care, I take part in sweatlodges, drum circles, prayers, songs, and herbalism. I also love surfing and playing guitar! I’ve been in pop punk bands and recently had a blast at a queer rock camp. When I’m not working, I’m usually hanging out with Pizza, my 13-year-old Schnauzer mix, or spending time with my partner of seven years.

If you’re looking for someone who can see and understand you in all your complexity, I’d love to help!
